The World Communications Forum Association (WCFA) held its Annual General Assembly on February 15 via Zoom, providing a dynamic platform for members and candidate members to exchange ideas and foster the growth of the PR industry. Serving as the principal policy-making body of the Association, this gathering also facilitated invaluable networking opportunities for communication specialists worldwide, enabling them to explore a wide array of international collaborations.

During the event the WCFA President Maxim Behar underscored the notable accomplishments of the WCFA in 2023 while unveiling ambitious plans for 2024, including prestigious events such as the Davos Communications Summit in April and the Davos Communications Awards. Furthermore, strategic leadership appointments were undertaken to reinvigorate the management of the Association and introduce fresh perspectives.

Mary Beth West, an experienced Senior Strategist at Fletcher Marketing PR in the United States, was appointed as an Executive Committee member, bringing valuable experience to the table. In addition, the Executive Committee now has Regional Presidents, enhancing geographical diversity. Thabisile Phumo from South Africa, Mary Beth West from the United States, Mai Anh Le from Vietnam, and Stuart Bruce from the United Kingdom will lead in Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe respectively.

The Global Advisory Board also welcomed seven new members, including Catherine Blades (United States), Guntram Kaiser (Germany), Jan Boman (Denmark), Kirsty Leighton (United Kingdom), Prof. Mohd Said Bani (Malaysia), Sergii Bidenko (Ukraine), and Symeon Tsomokos (Greece).

During the assembly, Mina Nazari from Iran was re-elected to continue her role as an external Controller on key Executive Committee matters.

All new appointees to the WCFA Management were met with great enthusiasm by both the Executive Committee and all attendees at the Annual General Assembly 2024. The WCFA Management can be found here.

Expressing his gratitude, WCFA President Maxim Behar stated, "I am thankful to our Executive Committee and Global Advisory Board members, as well as all active members and partners, for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions.
